Fox Networks Group appoints Sonja Brugger as vice president of acquisitions for Africa and Europe from October.


Fox Networks Group (FNG) Europe and Africa has appointed Sonja Brugger as vice president of acquisitions across the regions, starting from October 2017.

Fox Networks Group runs channels across Africa like National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild,  FOX, FOX Life, Fox Sports on the platforms of Africa's pay-TV operators like MultiChoice (DStv) and StarTimes Africa's StarTimes and StarSat.

Sonja Brugger will join Fox networks Group in its London office, from Sky Germany where she is responsible for programming strategy and acquisitions. She will report to Diego Londono, the FNG chief operating officer (COO), Europe and Africa.

"Sonja is a seasoned professional with over 20 years’ industry experience," says Diego Londono in a statement.

"Her experience in both acquisition and content strategy, combined with her understanding of broadcaster and platform environments across basic pay, free-to-air and video-on-demand (VOD) will be hugely beneficial to our organisation as we continue to invest in must-have content and innovate in ways to make this content accessible."
